Healthcare Transition Hackathon
Where do you need to work, how much do you want to work, what do the best solutions look like? Which people do we need for this? Which educations belong to this?
Design your own interpretation of the organization that works.
You can make a difference. Quit screaming that pharma is terrible, but try to change it.
Who’s joining
It depends, but preferably the people that are not completely ”messed up” because of experiences, but who are eager to look at the matter and to form an opinion. On the other side, people need to have appropriate knowledge in order to not talk nonsense.
The story behind the hackathon
My grandmother was born before the war. She was saved by a hero, multiple times. An unknown… Ernst Boris Chain.
Chain made sure that the discovery of Alexander Fleming also reached my grandmother 80 years ago: antibiotics. Unknown heroes are still necessary to find the right medication for the right patients.
Health care is complex due to regulations and vested interests. Sometimes it feels like you are trying really hard, but there is not any progress. But with all the right techniques, it could change. Better, faster and with less risks.
You can make a difference during Healthcare Transition Hackathon 2019.
A hackathon, what does it mean?
A hackathon (contraction of hacking and marathon) is an event where team(s) of experiential experts in super-short time – Two parts of the day or two days (marathon) – come up with a tangible start to a concrete solution to complex problems. Each team designs a prototype (a hack = a concrete, working, smart, possibly preliminary solution) that can be tested by the organization or by the client. Mostly, the teams will pitch and a winner will be chosen. Meanwhile, a photographer and a film reporter will walk around.
